(Fujairhah, United Arab Emirates) -- The race to 8-Ball glory got underway early Monday morning here in the coastal emirate of Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates, with 96 players from over 40 countries vying for the 2012 WPA World 8-ball Championship.

NM for damer i 8-ball og 10-ball ble arrangert i Stavanger 03.-05. februar. I 8-ball var det fem deltakere og i 10-ball var det seks deltakere.

Norgesmesterskapet i 8-ball 2012 ble arrangert 20.-22. januar i Oslo (Biljardfabrikken). Etter tre lange dager var det Kristoffer Mindrebøe (Oslo) som sto igjen på toppen og kunne kalle seg Norgesmester.

Studentmesterskapet 2012 i 8-ball ble arrangert i Tromsø helgen 13.-15. januar.
